Call for Submissions

Prairie Theatre Exchange (PTE), supported by the Manitoba Association of Playwrights (MAP), is excited to welcome submissions from early career playwrights to be a part of our next playwriting unit. 

This Unit offers playwrights an opportunity to experiment with and grow their practice in a safe, supportive group setting.  The Unit is intended for storytellers working in script-based forms. 

Playwrights in the Unit will participate in monthly group meetings as well as occasional professional development opportunities. 

To submit an application for consideration, please send a letter telling us about yourself and why you’re interested in joining the Unit, a short writing sample (maximum 10 pages), and a short bio to Haley Vincent, Artistic and Operations Coordinator:  haley@pte.mb.ca

Selections will be made by March, 2022, with the goal of beginning meetings in March or April, 2022.
