Family drama about losing your centre of gravity

Bernice Trimble is the emotional centre of her three adult children’s universe, but she’s had to give them news that has shaken the family to the core. Her middle daughter, Iris, is struggling to cope with the news of her vivacious mother’s diagnosis of a life-changing condition by making her mom’s famous “everything that’s bad for you” casserole, while her siblings fly off to different ends of the emotional spectrum. A rich and honest family drama that plays out in so many kitchens every day.

“An artful, absorbing family drama”--  Edmonton Journal

“…quietly devastating” – VUE Weekly Review

Running time: 90 minutes, no intermission

Bob Says: “Beth Graham is a dynamic, young Edmonton-based playwright who had great success nationally with her first play, The Drowning Girls. This play was nominated for a Governor General Award in 2015, and I love it because of its fundamental honesty and heart in addressing some very serious subject matter, including the unique relationship between mothers and daughters, and the choices we make both in parenting and in life.”
