Prairie Theatre Exchange has a long and proud tradition of bringing live theatre to children throughout our province. For thousands of Manitoba children, a PTE show has been their first experience of the joy generated by a live performance – almost 17,000 children see PTE in their home communities each year, including dozens of schools in Winnipeg and surrounding communities, and as far north as Gillam and Leaf Rapids. Prairie Theatre Exchange breaks down the barriers surrounding “the arts” by bringing the arts to the audiences in their own communities – an experience that can have a profound effect on how a child views his or her world.

The Three Munschketeers
Based on stories by Robert Munsch
Adapted by Debbie Patterson
Prairie Theatre Exchange is heading your way again with a school performance tradition of bringing the indelible and charismatic characters of Robert Munsch to vibrant life on the stage. In 2012, you'll see some classic Munsch -- including Wait and See, and some new favourites, like Moose! and Just One Goal! (about that ultimate Canadian game, hockey!) -- all presented with the high-energy, kid-friendly fun our young audiences have come to expect.
This is your opportunity to give your students the chance to experience the power of theatrical expression, and to enjoy live theatre in their own environment. Prairie Theatre Exchange is proud to contribute to the development of the “whole child”, which ultimately benefits all of us in society.
