How do I Audition for PTE?

Show-Specific Auditions:

Show-specific auditions are held to cast performers for productions in our upcoming season.

Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are welcome to submit their headshot and resume for consideration. After reviewing submissions, the creative team will invite selected artists to audition. Due to the number of submissions we receive, only those invited to audition will be contacted.

Artists invited to a show-specific audition will receive any scenes, songs, or other audition material to prepare in advance. Show scripts will be available to read at Prairie Theatre Exchange.

Show-specific auditions for our 2026–27 season are now closed.

General Auditions:

General auditions are an opportunity for our Artistic Director, Ann Hodges, to meet artists who are new to Prairie Theatre Exchange, as well as an opportunity for artists to demonstrate their continued growth and development.

The next round of general auditions will take place during the 2026–27 season.

Who can audition?

  • Performers aged 16 and older
  • Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are welcome
  • Prairie Theatre Exchange is committed to inclusive casting. We encourage submissions from artists who self-identify as members of under-represented communities.
