Nanabush and the Spirit of Thunder
Based on the book by Daphne Odjig
Presented by Oshkagoogin Theatre Projects in friendship with PTE
Nanabush has to find a way to restore the friendship between Thunder and Sun so that it stops raining all the time. Filled with humour and adventure, this family-friendly play invites audiences of all ages to reflect on relationships, responsibility and the balance we seek within them. And, of course, mino-bimaadiziwin—the ongoing journey of learning to live the good life. Adapted for the stage from Daphne Odjig’s retelling of the Ojibwe Nanabush story, Nanabush and the Spirit of Thunder carries a story from oral tradition to illustrated book to live performance.
