At PTE, theatre isn’t a distant spectacle — when the lights dim, you see and feel the story up close in our beautiful three-sided theatre, where you are never more than ten rows from the stage. We share stories that feel like they were written with you in mind — chosen for who we are, here and now, as Winnipeggers, as Canadians.

Our 2026-27 season of all-Canadian plays will shed some light on the “here and now” by taking you to across time and space — to a 1930s hockey rink, a hysterically awkward dinner party, the 1901 London home of two newlyweds, a small Indian restaurant, and a deserted hill overlooking a darkened city. Through the season, you’ll laugh out loud, lean in with surprise, blink back a tear, and leave feeling inspired. You’ll see stories of grit, heart, and the kind of chance encounter that can give life a brand-new direction.

And when the house lights rise again at the end of the season, our “here” and our “now” might just look a little different — because we’ve shared these stories, together.
