Convenient, heated underground parking

While there is street parking nearby, PTE recommends parking in the underground parkade at Portage Place. It's secure, patrolled and offers easy, direct access to PTE via both Elevator 6 and Elevators 4 & 5.

It's also one of the most reasonably-priced downtown parking lots - $7 for an evening after 6 pm (compared to upwards of $12-$15 around the Concert Hall), $15 during Canada Life events.

Parking in the Portage Place Parkade:
Enter off Vaughan Street (the Carlton entrance is now permanently closed), then park in the section with blue pillars (near Elevator 6) or the yellow pillars (near Elevators 4 & 5), and pay before coming upstairs. There are payment machines next to the elevators, and you'll pay for parking at these machines in advance by entering your license plate number and payment.

NOTE: any of those elevators will take you up to the 3rd floor to get to PTE.

Portage Place Parkade is Zone # 46615.

There is a QR code on the side of the payment machine that will take you to the ParkMobile website, where you can pay for parking without standing in line for a machine and check out as a guest, so no need to create an account.

You can also download the ParkMobile app at the usual app stores and pay by phone to avoid the lineups at the payment machines.

NOTE:  if you're attending PTE at the same time as a Canada Life Centre event, we will send you an Access Code to discount your parking from the higher "event" price.

Discounted parking during Canada Life Centre events

Event parking (hockey games, concerts, etc.) in the Portage Place parkade is $15. 

The regular price on a weekday evening is $7 after 6 pm, $4/hour on weekend days, and $7 after 6 pm on weekends.

If you are a single-ticket buyer attending a PTE show on a Jets game/event night, you will be emailed an Access Code that will reduce the $15 fee down to $9, along with a link to the ParkMobile website. It is NOT available on the pay machines or the app.

NOTE: This applies ONLY to PTE's five Mainstage plays and the two Holiday shows. We cannot extend a discount to rentals or other events.

On the ParkMobile website:

  1. Click the link to the ParkMobile website: https://canadalifecentre.parkmobile.io/. This will take you straight to a landing page for Canada Life Centre events. This is the only place that you can use the discount Code.
     

  2. Select the Canada Life Centre event that is happening on the same day as your performance, which then brings you to the parking lot locations page.
     
  3. At the top of the locations page is "Filters & Access Codes". Clicking that will bring up a box of options with a space at the bottom to enter the access code you received in the KNOW BEFORE YOU GO email. Click APPLY, which will drop the price to $9 under Portage Place in the locations list in the left hand column. Click the Portage Place Reserve button.
     
  4. You can check out as a guest or log into ParkMobile if you've set up an account. You will need to enter some basic information and complete the purchase. You'll receive a confirmation email.

And you can do all this BEFORE you even leave the house - up to 3 hours before the Canada Life event starts!

The discount will not be an option on the regular Platinum Parking website, pay machines or the app.

 

 

BIKE PARKING
PTE has a permanent bike rack just inside the lobby doors, available for all performances. It’s advised that you bring a lock, but once the show has started, the lobby doors are locked for security.
