Volunteer for PTE!

Support the work that PTE does by volunteering at performances and behind the scenes.

Volunteers are the wind beneath our wings! It would literally be impossible to run a performance without them.

For each performance in a run, PTE relies on up to 12 volunteers in 9 different roles. Generally, the shifts range from about 90 minutes to three hours.

Usher/Audience Awareness

There are two ushers inside the theatre to guide patrons to their seats – a theatre map is provided for reference.

Once the audience is seated, the ushers sit in specially-designated seats in the house during the performance, as the eyes and ears of the Front of House Supervisor, in place to assist patrons if necessary, or to get the FOH Supervisor if aid is needed. 

Shift: varies, as the run time for a performance can vary from 80 minutes to 2 hours, minutes.

           6:00 to as late as 10 pm for some shows or 12:30 to as late as 5 pm for matinees
 

We also occasionally need volunteers during weekdays to help with mailings.
